Manners of Visiting the Sick

When to visit a sick friend yesterday and some relatives few months ago. It's good to pay a visit to sick people to show you concern and care about them. But, there are a few manners we have to keep. Here is a few tips:

  • Say salam and ask the condition.
  • Voice your concern.
  • Pray for the health.
  • Bring token i.e. fruit basket or money. (To lessen the burden)
  • Avoid big group visit. (To respect the privacy)
  • Avoid long chat. (Understand sick people need to rest)

Hope this help. Our present (visit) is appreciated enough, sick people do not need unnecessary talk.

BSB - MIB Short Trip

Last July we had a short trip to Brunei Darussalam (BSB) which practice 'Melayu Islam Beraja' (MIB). We drove our Mini Cooper aka Kelisa to Brunei via vehicle ferry. Afraid to bring the Myvi though as BSB's government does not permit tinted vehicle in Brunei - will be instructed to strip the tinted on the spot if you were to be spotted. It takes one hour from Labuan ferry terminal to reach Muara ferry terminal. A trip each day only. Sharing a few tips:

Fare:
Vehicle: RM120 / BND50 (be it compact, saloon or 4WD)
Driver: Free
Adult: RM30 / BND15
Kids: RM15 / BND8
Infant: Free

*You are not allowed to buy through & fro ticket. Must buy the return ticket at Brunei terminal.

What you need to bring:
1. Valid Passport (International or Brunei Limited)
2. Ferry Ticket
3. Vehicle Declaration Card
4. Cash in BND (hehehehe)
5. Credit Card (just in case)

What you need to know:
1. Brunei Limited passport is only RM50 for 5 years
2. No tinted car in Brunei
3. Less or no motorcyclist
4. Do not bring the 'beras wangi' out
5. Foods are expensive

Our passport

Our tickets

Arrival card - to be filled in the ferry and pass to Immigration Officer when arrive

With us is Mama

And that's Bapa

Dhia was stretching OK

Macaroni Fruit Salad

It's easy-peasy but yet delicious. Great for desert. Be it kenduri, open house, small makan-makan, parties & so on. No hassle and only take half an hour the most.

Ingredients:
1 pack of macaroni
1 bottle of mayonnaise (900g)
1 can of sweetened creamer
1 can fruit cocktails
3 apples (green & red)
300g grapes

Method:
1. Boil the macaroni till al-dente. Put drained aside.
2. Wash the fuits (apple & grape) and cut into small shape.
3. Drained the cocktail as well. We don't need the syrup.
4. Put the macaroni, fruits & cocktail into 1 big bowl.
5. Pour the mayonnaise & creamer and mix all together .
6. Done & serve!

Bye-Bye Coverall & Safety Boots

Been wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to work since 2 years and 2 weeks ago. Now it is the time I bid farewell to those PPE as well as the workshop and colleagues where & who I started work with in the company. It has been a great time where I gained as much knowledge and experience.

I was pleased & honoured when my colleagues arranged a farewell makan-makan for me last Friday. It is not that I am leaving the company, I am just moving to a new place (in the same company). Obviously we can still see & chit-chat with each other once in a while.

Oh yes, in conjunction with that, we also celebrated our supervisor's birthday which fell on last Thursday.

A simple but memorable makan-makan

2 cakes: 1 for boss, 1 for me

Oppss...boss is 54 but born in the year 1957...

Yam is for me..

Left: Team Lead, Right: Supervisor

God bless you, boss!

No more coverall on last day =)

A few was not around.
So now, sitting next to BIG BOSS, no more coverall just formal office attire. *sigh* I hate to do ironing in the morning, to think of what to wear & to mix and match - not so me. But, in the other hand, carrier development is good for everyone!

p/s: tulisan ini merah sebab coverall yang merah itew. jgn mare!
